Release International has changed its name to Voice of Persecuted Christians!
The phrase has featured in the ministry’s logo for many years and reflects an important element of the UK-facing work.
Internationally, Voice of Persecuted Christians is active in around 30 countries, supporting Christian partners on the ground, as they seek to meet both the practical and spiritual needs of those who suffer for Christ and the gospel. That hasn’t changed.
But in the UK, as well as encouraging Christians and congregations to pray and to give, the ministry believes Christians have much to learn from those who continue to serve Christ amid opposition.
Paul Robinson, the CEO of Voice of Persecuted Christians, said: ‘We believe the new name better reflects what our ministry is about: enabling the first-person voice of persecuted Christians to speak into the life of the church here in the UK.
‘As we truly hear the voice of persecuted Christians, their witness calls us to a deeper discipleship—to live Christ-centred lives, with a willingness to count the cost of serving Him and proclaiming the gospel, wherever we are.’
The ministry’s general enquiries number remains the same (01689 823491). The general email address will be info@voiceopc.org. The website address is now voiceopc.org. If you have been supporting the ministry by Direct Debit or Standing Order, please note you do not need to do anything as a result of the name change.
