Daily prayers from our persecuted family
Each day our Prayer Shield provides a brief, country-focused prayer topic for you to use. It can help if you are busy, or if you just do not know what to pray for. You can see today’s prayer, plus those for the last six days, to the right.
Thank God that our partner has been able to help Christian widows such as ‘Rachelle’ (pictured), who now rears pigs to provide for her and her five children. Pray for God’s blessing on other widows who are receiving support through our partner project.
Pray for widows such as ‘Miriam’ whose husband was killed by a landmine planted by one of the Islamist terror groups that are causing havoc across Burkina Faso. To be displaced and then to have to feed and raise children alone is a huge challenge for her.
Pray for a project run by our partner to construct wells to improve water supply in large camps for the internally displaced. Importing parts into land-locked Burkina Faso is slow and complicated. Pray that these obstacles can be overcome.
Pray for the 1,500 displaced Christian children who are being supported through school by Voice of Persecuted Christians and our associate ministries. May God bless their academic studies but also help them to be accepted and make new friends.
Pray for ‘Stafano’, who was born into a Muslim home but became a believer in his late twenties. Stafano was attacked by a number of Muslims while preaching on the street but a few days later the leader of the group sought his forgiveness and came to faith in Christ.
Please pray for our partner’s mission training school. Many of the students, who are former Muslims, have experienced persecution and rejection.
Praise God for the proliferation of underground churches and house groups among Muslim people groups. These are places where new believers can be nurtured and discipled without leaving their communities. Pray for wisdom for the leaders.
