TAJIKISTAN – Christians arrested and fined

tajikistan mapWe have been informed through our partner that 10 Christians were arrested by the security police in Tajikistan on August 7.

The group had gone to the Pamirs mountain area to share the gospel and hand out Christian literature in Russian, Tajik and other local languages.

According to our partner, the group were later released but were fined $1,000 by a court. As they had no money a Tajik church paid the fine.

Please pray for Christians in Tajikistan as they seek to share God’s love in a hostile environment. Opposition has grown in areas where locals have come to faith.

Our new DVD about Central Asia, ‘Underground’, which includes an interview with a pastor from Tajikistan, will soon be available from our website.

If you’re looking for resources from the former website, you’ve found the right place – everything you need is still here, just under our new name.
