NIGERIA: CALL FOR MORE SECURITY TO PREVENT FULANI VIOLENCE

Religious Liberty Partnership statement on crises in Central Nigeria

There has been a call for the Nigerian government to increase security to protect largely Christian communities which are under attack by heavily armed militants.

Thousands have been killed and driven from their homes by militant groups, which include heavily armed Fulani herdsmen.

The call comes from the Religious Liberty Partnership, Christian organisations from more than 20 countries who are pressing for religious freedom for all. Release International is a member.

Premier Radio’s News Hour programme wanted to find out more. So Cara Bentley spoke to Andrew Boyd of Release…
